Tony Mallon

Party Leader

Tony Mallon, a lifelong West Belfast resident, has a rich background in organising community fundraisers, senior management in heavy engineering, and roles spanning health and safety, quality management, facilities, HR, and education. A founding member of NI People, Tony is driven by the belief that traditional Northern Irish politics, mired in division, needs a new approach. NI People advocates for open dialogue, diversity, and prioritises individuals over party lines. The party aims for minimal government intervention and lower taxes, focusing on empowering people and businesses.

Garreth Falls

Party Chair

Garreth Falls, with a rich background in community service, international ministry, and as a Consultant Medical Herbalist, has significantly contributed to Northern Ireland’s social fabric. His work spans across health, sustainability, and fostering community initiatives, earning him the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. As Chair of NI People, Garreth is committed to promoting sustainable health and education, advocating for a government that empowers rather than intervenes, and ensuring the party’s focus remains on the well-being of individuals and businesses alike.

Andrew Mcilwrath

Communication Officer

Andrew McIlwrath, from Moneyreagh and now living in West Belfast with his family, advanced from public schooling to a mechanical engineering degree at Belfast Metropolitan College. Gaining hands-on experience in the heavy machinery sector, he achieved foreman status, skilled in operating plant equipment and leading teams. Coming from a farming background, agriculture holds a special place in his heart. Andrew’s vision for the future emphasises a supportive government fostering common-sense and self-reliance among today’s youth.

Stephen McClenaghan

Communication Officer

Stephen McClenaghan, raised in Poleglass and living in Banbridge, values his mixed heritage and is proud of his roots. With diverse job experiences from Tesco to Moes Grill, Stephen’s resilience shines through. Overcoming addiction and learning from time spent in Maghaberry and Magilligan, he advocates for inmate reform and mental health support, drawing from personal battles with depression. Now settled with his family and passionately involved in journalism, Stephen serves as NI People’s communications officer, committed to fostering change and supporting Northern Ireland’s future.

Ryan North

Candidate & Advocate

Ryan, an East Belfast native, has explored various roles from the motor trade to catering, currently thriving at the city’s busiest leisure centre. Engaged in community work and automotive photography, he’s encountered diverse individuals across NI, Ireland, and GB. Disillusioned with the DUP-Sinn Féin dominance, Ryan advocates for a socially libertarian approach, aiming to decentralise power, favouring local over central government to efficiently manage resources and uphold free speech. As a candidate for NI People, he envisions a prosperous, inclusive NI with minimal government intrusion, focusing on community empowerment.
